Goals and Objectives

The ski area master plan involves planning the installation of new facilities on the mountain and in the base area. Facilities are generally constructed over several phases of development; increasing the quality and size of the area as time progresses and the market dictates. However, it is critical to have a clear view of the complete project at build-out, so that facilities can be balanced and capital effectively invested over the life of the project.

Objectives

The objectives of the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Master Plan are listed below:

We are committed to sustainable development. Our goal is to refer to the guidelines set forth in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for the structures that are constructed as part of the Master Plan.

Our goal is to explore the most efficient alternative energy technology available, such as co-generation, geothermal, solar and wind power. We will also work with the local power utility to do a feasibility study for running a power line to the ski area.

We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint. We will make every effort to use bio fuels and leading technology in our vehicle fleet. This could include bio diesel, ethanol, propane, natural gas, and hybrids.
