Snowboarding
Snowboarders generally utilize the same groomed and ungroomed trails as skiers. Snowboarders are generally freestylers, using both "carving" terrain (groomed slopes) and ungroomed and undulating terrain, and therefore mix easily with skiers. There is a portion of the snowboard population who like to use a snowboard park, boarder-cross or half pipe for all of, or a significant part of the day. Shaped skis are also making these terrain features popular for some skiers. Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard has installed a half pipe on the lower portion of "The Strip". There are also other "e;hits"e; above the half pipe in a terrain park. Currently, 75 percent of those who buy lift tickets at the Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort are snowboarders.
