Full-time applicants must be available through April 11th, 2010. Part- time applicants must be available for 16 hours per week minimum.

Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort's Standards
As a Team Member of Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort, you represent us to our guests. Therefore, we have high expectations regarding your personal appearance while working with us. The following guidelines have been set to help ensure our guests have the best vacation experience possible.

Hair
Men and womens hair must be neat, and clean and in some instances, tied back for safety reasons. Hair on both men and women must be a natural hair color (i.e. not green) and radical hairstyles are not allowed.

Facial Hair
Facial hair is allowed as long as it remains neat and trimmed at all times. Personal Hygiene: Neat personal and oral hygiene are vital. Extreme or offensive odors are not acceptable to our guests or Team Members.

Jewelry and Tattoos
Visible body piercing, including tongue piercing, is not allowed. Jewelry may be worn in the ears while on duty. For safety reasons, certain types of jewelry or earrings may not be allowed depending on the job. Visible tattoos must be discreet and non-offensive. General: we do not allow smoking or chewing of tobacco in uniform by staff. We also request that you refrain from swearing in the presence of the guest.

Drug-Free Workplace
Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is committed to a drug free workplace. It is the intent of Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort to provide a healthy and productive work force and safe working conditions free from the effects of drugs and alcohol. Preemployment drug testing is required. Drug testing is also conducted by random selection, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion. Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort's drug policy applies to all team members.

Winter Seasonal
Food & Beverage

Cashier

Provide guest services in the Big Horn Cafe including: cash register operation, managing cash and credit card transactions. Additional duties include:table clearing, room cleaning and organization, trash removaland stocking inventory. Must have a current Clark County Health Card. Work involves a high level of guest contact and assisting co-workers. Very limited openings.

Cook

Prior food handling, knife skills and general kitchen experience required. Must exhibit an understanding of and adhere to proper food handling techniques as well as have an interest in the culinary field. Moderate level of guest contact. Should have previous experience in the field. A current Clark County Health Card is required.

Dishwasher

Dishwasher in the Cafe. Job duties include: washing dishes, kitchen cleaning, general janitorial, trash removal and kitchen sanitation. Also, assiting in the kitchen and BBQ when necessary. Must have a current Clark County Health Card. Must be 18 or over.

Food Server

Food server in the Big Horn Cafe. Responsibilities include: Food preparation and serving, table clearing, room cleaning and organization, trash removal and stocking inventory. Attention to sanitation and details a must. Must be able to communicate easily and politely to all customers and have a neat and clean appearance. A Clark County Health Card is required. This is a very busy job with a high level of guest contact.

Guest Services

Custodian

Base lodge area position. Job duties include:snow and ice removal, janitorial duties, trash control, cleaning and sanitation of all base area buildings.

Must be in good physical condition. Previous maintenance experience helpful, but not necessary.

Lift Services

Lift Operator

Loading/unloading of chairlift, snow maintenance, fence and line maintenance. Must be able to work in an outdoor winter envronment with long periods of standing, working in a cold, wet environment.

Slope Maintenance

Snowmaker

Outdoor work in variable conditions. Up to 12 hour work shifts. Work will begin in late October and runs through mid January. Must be able to work overnight in cold and wet conditions. Additional duties include: general labor and equipment maintenance. Snowmaking staff members generally transfer into different departments in mid season. Very limited openings.

Snowsports School

Ski and Snowboard Instructors

Our instructors promote the sport of skiing and snowboarding by providing safe, enjoyable and effective lessons for LVSSR's guests.

Must have excellent communication, organizational and guest services skills. Must communicate well with all age groups. Intermediate or higher skiing/ riding skills are preferred. Full time and part time positions available.

Snow Kids Attendants

Positions for both on-snow teaching and off-snow support staff.
***Must love kids! *** and all the things that go along with kids!
This program operates on weekends, holidays and daily during Winter Break.
Unlimited energy and experience make this job truly playful.
Some positions require a Nevada State Food Handler’s permit and special training for equipment fitting and adjustments.
