Marcel's Masters
Masters Program
It’s never too late and you’re never too old to start or to return. This multi-day program is the ideal setting for improving skills through guided practice and refinement. Watch as performance improves through group exerises and challenges in a low stress setting.
Specifically designed for seniors. This series is taught by Marcel and other senior instructors.
The day will include a two-hour on-snow clinic from 10am until noon, followed by a buffet lunch.

Marcel Barel
Originally from Zurich, Switzerland, Marcel has been at Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard resort since it opened.
Born in Zurich in 1931, Marcel never intended to become Las Vegas' most famous ski instructor. He was a city kid who studied economics in college, although he never much cared for it, but what his studies did was provide an opportunity to ski the Swiss mountains. In the early 1950s, Marcel left Switzerland for Montreal to reach Peru. He arrived in Canada, where he knew no one, and figuring he'd hitchhike his way south. Marcel never reached Peru. He made it as far south as Yosemite where he got a job teaching skiing in 1958.
Marcel arrived in Las Vegas in the mid-1960s to run the ski school at the year-old Ski and Snowboard Resort. There wasn't much to it then, just a beginner's slope, but he stayed anyway, building up the school, teaching showgirls and casino executives how to make it down the mountain.
