Welcome to the 2007-2008 Season
THE SEASON IS HERE!
Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort is happy to welcome our guests to the 2007-2008 season!
Early season snowfall last week produced the perfect base for your winter playground.
Chair 2 opened on Saturday afternoon and the conditions are holding up nicely.
Chair 3, Rabbit Peak, has what you need to get started.
Chair 1 is on standby to open as soon as conditions allow.
Snowmaking efforts have been surprisingly efficient with the warm temperatures this week.
We expect a significant winter storm later this week- bring on the SNOW!
Here are some highlights:
* DARKSIDE IS BRINGING THE HYPE TO THE SNOW - The best rails, boxes and jibs are hitting Chair 2 daily. Great sponsors include Pharmacy Boardshop, McGhies and Tyrant Snowboards.
* CHAIR 2 IS BETTER THAN EVER - Recent improvements to the lift will result in less stopping and starting, getting you to the top faster.
* ON THE SNOW - We will give you a groomed surface everyday with snowmaking operations in action whenever conditions allow. Come have fun!
* THE BEST STAFF - Our staff is there to help you have the best day, everyday!
* BBQ AND A BEVERAGE - Nothing like a BBQ on the mountain! A day on the hill is not complete without a little something to tide you over.
* WEEKENDS WITH THE SNOBROS - You've gotta love the music and the SnoBros have the tunes. Unique SNOBRO apparel available in the Sport Shop.
* THE BEST IN RENTAL EQUIPMENT- World class equipment manufactures Burton and Volkl take your experience to a new level. *** Please note - Credit Card deposit is required this year.
* INSTRUCTION FOR ANYBODY, ANYTIME - Our ski and snowboard instructors, under the guidance of PSIA/AASI nationally accredited ski and snowboard experts and Marcel and Gabrielle Barel, provide guests with the BEST INSTRUCTION for your individual needs, at any level.
* WE LOVE SNOW KIDS- Snow Kids (ages 4 to 12) is a fun and simple way to teach kids to ski and ride the mountain. Snow Kids will kick off on Saturday, December 15th. Open weekends, winter break and holidays.
* ALL MOUNTAIN TEAM- Winter youth clinics for skiing and snowboarding. A six week program for children and teens through high school, designed to provide an outdoor experience and snow sports skill development. Starts Saturday, January 19th.
* GROUPS - Schedule an exciting day at the ski area for your youth group, organization or company getaway. Custom designed for your group of 20 or more. Private BBQ options available. NEW this year is URIDE, a program designed especially for the students here in Clark County.
* LIDS ON KIDS - a helmet, it's a SMART IDEA. LVSSR Mtn. Patrol and their valued sponsors have developed a unique helmet program. Get a helmet on your child's head this weekend. A helmet give away for children ages 4 to 12. Limited quantity available. First come, first serve.
