This Season is Going Off!

THE 2007-2008 SEASON IS GOING OFF!
Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort is currently operating on over 5 feet of base! If you are not getting on the snow, you are missing out!

Here's some NEWS for those "IN THE SNOW"...

After 2 years of development, Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) has formally submitted the multi year, multi phase Master Development Plan (MDP) to the USDA Forest Service/ Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.
The MDP will quadruple the size of the existing ski area and includes some of these highlights:
* 11 Total Lifts
* 171 Acres of Slope Area
* 51 Total Trails
* Multiple Terrain Parks
* Expanded Snowmaking Resources
* Summer Activities

The LVSSR organization is committed to sustainable development. This will be a lengthy and complicated process. Your support will be essential to the each phase of the process.

MORE NEWS IN THE SNOW...
* Enjoy skiing and boarding everyday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
* DarkSide Park is keeping it real! Great jumps and the best in boxes and rails. Park sponsors – McGhies, Pharmacy and Tyrant Snowboards.
* Snow Kids is open on weekends and holidays throughout the season. Snow Kids is a childrens program for ages 4 -12. Young skiers and riders will enjoy using our carpet lift. A surface lift that makes uphill travel easy for the little ones. No reservations are needed, just sign up at the school before 9:30am.
* Tunes by SNO BRO. Join the Sno Bro’s on the hill and rock to a variety of sound. Check out their unique apparel in the Sport Shop.
* Lids on Kids – LVSSR supports Lids on Kids. The Mountain Patrol organizes a helmet giveaway for children sponsored by local Las Vegas businesses. A helmet, it’s a good idea!

CONTEST TIME!
Sunday, February 10th - RX GAMES. Sponsored by Pharmacy Boardshop. This contest will be held above the deck of the main lodge so everyone can enjoy the action! Outlined below is lowdown...

High Ollie - A "limbo" style feature will be set at multiple heights. You must ollie over the rail. The top 10 will qualify for the GAME OF SNOW.
Best Trick - Will be held on the FLAT DOWN BOX. Each rider will be getting 3 attempts to land his/her best trick. Top 10 will qualify for the GAME OF SNOW.
Game Of Snow - Only the top 10 of each event will qualify. This is a tournament style event similar to the game of hoarse or skate, but on the snow. This will be held on flat box and a paired match of riders in each lane. They will each attempt to set a trick that the other has to mimic and if they fail to repeat the set trick, they will be given a letter until the loser reaches "SNOW".

$25 lift ticket/ $20 entry fee / Registration begins at 9am on the Chalet Deck/ Limited to 100 participants

* Sunday, March 2nd – SIN CITY RAIL JAM. A local event sponsored by local board shops. Get busy; this year is going to blow your socks off! More details coming soon...
